iPhone 6 (New Emerging Technology)

iPhone 6
The emerging technology that researched was the iPhone6. It is rumored to come out in the Fall of 2014. The iPhone 6 may come in both a 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch versions. The 5.5- inch takes up the entire front screen of the iPhone, which allows for a larger display area. The iPhone 6 is also being known was the thinnest smart shone yet, only containing a thickness of 5.5mm. Another amazing feature that the iPhone is rumored to have is the ‘Sapphire Crystal display’ with a self-healing coat. This eliminates light imperfections caused by general wear and tear. The iPhone 6 also has a button free display with updated touch ID. This feature is said to be more responsive and secure. As if the iPhone camera was not already spectacular enough, the iPhone 6 will have the best camera yet. It has a 13 megapixel iSight sensor with a ring light flash.

The strengths I see in the iPhone 6 as the 13 megapixel camera, and the button free display. I love photography and taking pictures, so a phone that takes professional looking pictures is definitely something I look for in a phone. The button free display frees up space on the phone, and gives it a sleeker, more professional look. The weaknesses I see in the phone are in adding so many new features; there is more room for glitches. The iPhone is in no way perfect, and being an iPhone 5 owner myself, I would like to see them create a glitch free phone before adding so many new features to a new phone. A major opportunity in the iPhone 6 is again, the 13 mega pixel camera. Since the iPhone camera could take far better pictures than some digital cameras, it could save users money in purchasing a separate camera. A Threat that could come with the iPhone 6 is overall security of the phone. The more features a phone has the more susceptible to hackers and thieves it could become. I’m sure the iPhone 6 will be a phone that everyone wants, some people will take drastic measures to get the latest technology.

Photo Shop (edited picture)

The other day I went to the Arboretum and took this picture of a dead flower. Before I used Photoshop, my picture was dull and boring. Using photo shop I was able to make the background black and white so the flower itself stood out. I was also able to adjust the vibrancy levels to give it that extra pop. I loved using adobe Photoshop to edit my picture.

Pic Editing (plus Collage)

collage created with befunky.com

While editing my photos today, I visited 5 free websites:

-PicMonkey: Pic Monkey was my favorite photo editing site to use. There were tons of different color and light filters to chose from. my favorite tool was the color pop tool. It allowed you to pick one focal point of a picture and leave that colored while the rest of the picture was black and white. I will definitely use this site again!

-Pixlr: Pixlr was my least favorite site that I visited. It was hard to use, and I could not tell the uses for some of the tools. One cool this about the sight was the cropping tool. You could crop your photo into any shape (star, heart, triangle). Besides that one feature, I will probably never visit Pixlr again.

-Photo Flexer: Photo Flexer has some great editing tools that I had never seen before. My favorite was the blur focus tool. You could pick one part of the picture you wanted to stand out and blur everything else around it. the tools were easy to use and easy to find. I would use this tool again.

-iPiccy: iPiccy was very slow when I used it. That could have been a computer problem, but besides that I really liked using this website. The best thing about it was the collage. There are hundreds of different frames to choose from. You can change proportions, spacing and square roundness. I loved using these tools, and will use them again.

-BeFunky: At first, it was hard to get used to BeFunky, but when I got used to it I loved it! The best part about this app was that you could add text to photos! After your finished editing your photo you can add little captions and quotes to your photos. You can change the font, color and size of the text. out of all of the websites this was one of my favorite features!

Louie Saves the Day ZooBurst

Using ZooBurst was really fun! It is a fun and easy way to put a more complicated topic in a simpler form. I liked how you could upload your own photos to make it exactly how you wanted it. Its neat how you can make it as complicated of as simple as you want. You can add as many pictures as you want, change the background and page color and change the pop up speed. I would definitely use this tool again.
